A True Third-Generation Transmission
The designers completely redesigned the third-generation transmission, a completely new and unprecedented solution. Compared to the third-generation transmission in the 42172, the transmission in the Supercar 03 is not only 50% smaller, but also boasts significantly improved transmission efficiency and shifting reliability.
8-Speed ​​Dual-Clutch + Hybrid + DNR + Regenerative Braking

Since you placed the wrong order in the first place, you should have notified us via email sooner; instead, you only mentioned the mistake after the package had already been delivered to the US. This may well be one of the most underrated sets in the entire Technic lineup. The build experience is exceptional from start to finish: every component integrates seamlessly, the engineering techniques remain consistently engaging, and the mechanical functions operate flawlessly. At no point does the assembly feel repetitive or uninspired — a rare achievement for a set of this complexity.
Visually, the model is outstanding. The proportions are well judged, and the tires and rims in particular stand out for their premium quality. In fact, the overall parts selection feels as though it draws from the very best elements available in the Technic catalogue, contributing to a result that looks and feels distinctly high-end.
For my personal build, I opted for a series of modifications. After ordering the black exterior package, I went a step further and replaced all remaining colorful elements with black pieces — and there were quite a few. To complete the transformation, I designed custom transfer stickers that complement the matte-black finish beautifully and elevate the display presence significantly.
The instruction manual deserves special praise. Not only is it clear and thoughtfully structured, but it also enriches the experience with background information about both the real vehicle and the engineering principles behind the model. This added educational dimension enhances appreciation for the design and reflects a level of care that is rarely seen.
I would confidently award this set a perfect 10/10 across every category. It is a masterclass in Technic design, and I sincerely hope to see more releases from Lao Liang in the future.

Fantastic set from Lao Liang, from beginning to end the attention to detail and design is great. Thorough instructions and part quality is as you’d expect.
Will retain 5stars despite having to replace all the multi coloured pins/parts to black/grey but that’s personal preference.
Worthy addition to anyone’s collection!!
